Babiekins Magazine Issue 9
Hey guys! I am so not good with keeping up on this blogging thing. I really should be doing it more often. I always have a lot going on and then forget to let you all know about all the happenings in my commercial kids photographer world. I am sharing a big one with you today!
Babiekins Magazine winter print issue 9 is pretty special to me. This issue is not only full of amazing photography and content, but also is my first cover that I shot for Babiekins and I have two different editorial stories in this issue as well! So, needless to say, I am quite proud of this amazing fashion magazine and this issue in particular.
One of the editorial stories that I photographed was even extra special to me because it was a tribute to my dearly loved mother-in-law who passed after a hard and long battle with breast cancer in September of 2016. My model for this story was my daughter, who was very close with my mother-in-law. We photographed this story at one of her favorite places to have a short stay with my father-in-law.
I did the fashion styling and grooming for this shoot, which is always fun as well. Not many people know that I am also a licensed cosmetologist and tend to use this craft on smaller creative shoots when it makes sense.
The other editorial I photographed for Babiekins Magazine was super fun to photograph. All the kids that were in it were new faces and that is something special in itself. Priscila Barros from Babiekins did the fashion styling, Jennifer Hartman did hair & makeup, and my photography assistant Amanda Quinlan was a great help. The kids who modeled for this story were from America's Next Kids Top Model.
So that's that, hopefully I won't wait so long to post my next update. I already know there is lots of other stuff I photographed that is starting to come out for Spring 2017 that will need to be posted as well. Onward and upward friends!
